RED DEER – Six U18 AAA and AA players have been selected as scholarship recipients for the 2024-2025 season by the Elite Female Hockey Committee.
These scholarships will be awarded to the student athletes who best exemplify the values of the AFHL, academics, athletics, and personal growth. These scholarships will be awarded to players who have plans to attend post-secondary studies during the 2025-2026 academic year. Student-Athletes applying for these scholarships do not necessarily need to be seeking to play hockey at that post-secondary institution.
Recipients for 2024-2025 are:
Claire Delaney – U18 AAA Rocky Mountain Raiders
Grace Deveau – U18 AAA PWM Lloydminster Steelers
Kasey Melrose – U18 AAA Rocky Mountain Raiders
Reece Miazga – U18 AA Lloydminster Musgrave Steelers
Christine Rideout – U18 AA Calgary Fire White
Brieanna Ringuette – U18 AA Edmonton Ice
Online applications are accepted annually beginning in January. The Scholarship Fund Committee evaluates applications and selects recipients.
